It was a moment of great pride for Keppel Bay Sailing Club management and staff, hearing they had once again made the finals in the regional Queensland Training Awards.

KBSC manager Julie Strudwick said the board and management team are excited to once again be in the running for the top spot.

“We’re proud to make it to the finals for the second year in a row.

“Providing training opportunities for the next generation of staff not only improves our service to the community, it also increases the skills and knowledge of local youth.”

Keppel Bay Sailing Club made it to the top three in the Medium Employer of the Year category in the Central Queensland region.

Two more Yeppoon businesses also made it to the finals with Pumped Juice Bar & Café in the Small Employer of the Year and Brian Fisher in the VET Teacher or Trainer category.

“It’s great to see local businesses promoting youth development in our community.

“Congratulations to those who reached the top three in their category, we wish you well in the finals.”
